Helping Hands is also committed to helping the local community around Kansas City.

Recently a lady who goes by Shelly and her two children; a girl and a boy, lost their home in the Independence area to a fire. Helping Hands intervened and assisted her with some clothing for both her and her children. She also received toys for her young daughter and blankets and winter clothing to use during the cold season. We continue to stay in touch with this family as they try to regain their stability in society.
